The Breast Biopsy 7-Channel Coil BI 7 has been exclusively developed for the new Siemens MRI scanner generation.
The Coil is an innovative solution designed to offer flexible use to meet the needs of the procedure to be performed in your clinic. Together with the closed Breast 18 coil from Siemens it is the ideal solution for all requirements and questions in MRI breast diagnosis and biopsy.
The rigid coil frame forms a high resolution, 7-channel “phased array” configuration. One sided medial and up to two-sided lateral biopsy access is possible.
The areas of application of the Breast Biopsy 7-Channel Coil BI 7 include:

- Tissue sample removal under MR imaging control

Optional Components
NORAS MRI products has developed different components for the Breast Biopsy 7-Channel Coil BI 7. These are, on the one hand, the Breast Biopsy Set on the other hand, our Cranio-caudal Fixation Units. Subsequently, both products will be briefly introduced.
Breast Biopsy Set
The Breast Biopsy Set consists of a steam sterilizable Post & Pillar positioning unit. Part of the Biopsy Set is a 12G non-sterile training needle including Post & Pillar needle guide sleeve.
For the Grid version, the set additionally includes two training grids (medial/cranio-caudal and lateral) as well as one Grid needle block.
The sterile pieces* that are necessary for the biopsies are not part of the delivery content but can be ordered separately.
An individual biopsy package including consulting can only be assorted via NORAS MRI products.

Cranio-caudal Fixation Units
For diagnostic imaging, NORAS MRI products has developed special fixation units to immobilize the breast. With the Cranio-caudal Fixation Units you can optionally immobilize one or both breasts at the same time. Using this device, one can save up to 50% of scanning time, while reducing non-desired motion artifacts.
